SAIFUL FAZLI RAMLI, ICOMOS

Saiful Fazli Ramli (SFR) who hails from Perak, Malaysia is an experienced veteran in architectural and building conservation with more than 15 years in this interesting industry. He started off his prolific career by taking up the Graduate Architect role in Kumpulan Senireka Sendirian Berhad which is a private architectural firm. His main focus at the firm was to provide clients a review and recommendation of building design which covers areas such as feasibility study, technical, financial and functionality aspects. Apart from this, his work scope required him to ensure implementation of relevant policies and procedure for the designs too.

In 2004, SFR took a big step forward in his career by joining the biggest technical agency in Malaysia which is Jabatan Kerja Raya or Public Works Department as Assistant Director. He also became a Registered Conservator for National Heritage Department in 2015. With this additional role added on to his official portfolio he then has been exposed to management of conservation projects. In addition to these key areas that he covers, he also passionately looks at production of architectural schemes, design, contract and conservation management, dilapidation report, supervision and compliance review of development order.
